Pakse is a laid-back riverside city in southern Laos, located at the confluence of the Mekong and Xe Don rivers. Known as the gateway to the Bolaven Plateau, it offers a relaxed atmosphere and a glimpse into local Lao life.

From Pakse, travelers can explore coffee plantations, dramatic waterfalls, and the ancient Khmer temple of Wat Phou. With its scenic landscapes and cultural heritage, Pakse is an ideal base for discovering southern Laos.
